Blue Winged Kookaburra
“The Blue-winged Kookaburra, Dacelo leachii, is a large species of kingfisher native to northern Australia and southern New Guinea.”
I know this bird lives in Africa and can be found in Cape Town but I don’t know the species! He’s cute anyway. He has little copper legs and feet.
Hand sculpted and hand panted by me! One of a kind.
A fancy bird if there ever was one.

Miniature Bird Sculpture – Purple Sunbird
Got the 360 view going on this one! Not sure why these birds are named purple sunbirds, they all look blue to me – so I made him blue ;0)
“Like other sunbirds they feed mainly on nectar, although they will also take insects, especially when feeding young. They have a fast and direct flight and can take nectar by hovering like a hummingbird but often perch at the base of flowers.”
