Crested Serpent Eagle - Spilornis cheela, (Latham, 1790).
Name that bird!

The Eagle Has Landed
I think I scared the baby

So I see this out my window and run out front to get a shot.

Do you think that’s a baby eagle that I scared? I could have sworn there were two and one went on and the other turned around. And then the smaller one flew back where he just came from:

And then he turned around to come back but then changed his mind and went back. I am wondering if it’s a mom and baby I’ve been seeing today. Poor bird, first flight with mom and some crazy woman is running around trying to photograph him!
I got him!!!! Eagle 8 Photographer 1

OK, so I’m not expecting a call from National Geographic. I know it’s a terrible photo and you can’t tell it’s an eagle, but it is, I swear! By the time I got the camera turned on he was half way down the river. He was carrying something too – lunch? And I think he has a friend, a bird was with him on his last run through and again this time – paid no attention to the other bird, only noticed that it was a little over half of the size of the eagle.

It was a little rainy this morning so I went out to sit on the front patio and have my coffee, and who do I see? The eagle. Flying the opposite way this time. 7:15 AM. I’m thinking I’m not cut out to be a bird photographer, it’s like being on call 24/7! No wonder photographers always have a camera around their neck. You always have to be ready.
OMG Eagle 5
He just flew right by my window! 12:30? What kind of schedule is this bird on? Are there two of them? This is the closest he has ever flown by the window. I do believe this bird is taunting me now
