It is great that you can contribute to conservation efforts with your artwork. It also creates greater awareness. Way to go!
It’s not much but every bit helps right?
You do such nice work!
Have you ever thought about doing one of the Whooping Crane? They are very endangered and are the most magnificent birds, standing about 5 feet tall, which might be rather large for you, if you do them to size!
I am very interested in the organization “Operation Migration” which teaches orphan juvenile whooping cranes the migration path south by the use of ultra light aircraft. They learn to follow it, then once they know the migration path – they can return when it’s time.
Thanks! That is so interesting about Operation Migration, I will have to look into that. I was just thinking yesterday that I need to do at least one really big bird – the Whooping Crane just might be the ticket!
Beautiful work!!
Thanks
the Whooper would be awesome!
Thanks for commenting on my “The exact moment of impact” post! You have a unique blog. Keep up the great work!
Hi there doudou, just to let you know that the Abaco Parrots seem to have had a pretty good breeding season. Too early to say yet, but with luck the population of these rare birds will have increased slightly again this year… All the best and thanks for all your interest and support RH
Where are the photos?!
Ha! Good question. I have got some ready in a folder & have been waiting to hear from Caroline. I think she lives in the pine forest these days. The chicks are fledging right now. She’s preparing a Field Report for the breeding season, so I’ll be able to update re chicks, ringing, fledglings soon. Maybe I’ll do a ‘taster’ post with some pics to be going on with… RH

It’s good you’re raising awareness of endangered species like this – and they look great too! The Strange Tailed Tyrant is such an amazing name….
