Galah is also known as the Rose-breasted Cockatoo, Galah Cockatoo, Roseate Cockatoo or Pink and Grey, is one of the most common and widespread cockatoos, and it can be found in open country in almost all parts of mainland Australia.

The Violet-green Swallow, Tachycineta thalassina, is a small North American swallow. Their breeding habitat is semi-open areas in western North America from Alaska to Mexico. They nest in cavities in a tree or rock crevice, sometimes forming small colonies.They migrate in flocks to Central and northern South America.These birds often forage in flocks, usually flying relatively high but sometimes flying low over water. They eat insects including mosquitos, butterflies, mayflies and moths.

  3. I LOVE the swallow!!! The cockatoo is sweet, too, but the swallow’s fantastic. I could never stand watching Miss America pageants when I was a kid — it made me too sad for the “losers.” Competition is so dang *mean* — now cockatoo an swallow are going to need therapy…. ;]
